1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that:
- You are at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
- You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
- If using the App on behalf of an organisation, you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Licence to Use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You must not:
- Copy, modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Rent, lease, loan, sell, or sublicense the App.
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or marks.
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Access, interfere with, or disrupt networks, systems, or devices you are not authorised to access.
- Conduct network analysis on networks you do not own or lack explicit permission to test.
3. App Store Terms
The App is distributed via the Apple App Store. Your use is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and is not a party to any agreement between you and us.
4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
4.1 Available Plans
The App offers:
- Wi-Fi-Go Pro Monthly — auto-renewing monthly subscription
- Wi-Fi-Go Pro Annual — auto-renewing annual subscription
- Wi-Fi-Go Pro Lifetime — one-time purchase
Prices are displayed in your local currency in the App Store at the time of purchase.
4.2 Billing and Renewal
Subscriptions are charged to your Apple ID at purchase and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Renewal charges are applied within 24 hours before period end.
4.3 Managing and Cancelling
Manage or cancel via Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Wi-Fi-Go. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. No refunds for partial periods.
4.4 Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds must be requested via reportaproblem.apple.com. UK/EU consumers have a 14-day statutory cooling-off right; however, by downloading and using the App you expressly consent to waive this right in respect of digital content you have already received and used.
4.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change pricing. We will notify you before any increase. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
4.6 Free Tier
A free tier with limited features is available. We may modify free tier features at any time.
4.7 Promotional Pricing
Introductory or promotional pricing is offered at our sole discretion and may be withdrawn at any time. Existing purchases at a promotional price are honoured.
5. AI Advisor Feature
The AI Advisor does not constitute professional IT, networking, or security advice. Do not rely on it as a substitute for qualified professional advice.
5.1 Nature of the Service
The AI Advisor provides general suggestions generated by third-party AI models. We make no warranty that output is accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation. Results may be incorrect, outdated, or inapplicable to your specific hardware and network configuration.
5.2 Third-Party AI Providers
When using a cloud-based provider (Google Gemini or OpenAI), your network diagnostic data and questions are transmitted to that provider's servers. You are responsible for: obtaining your own API key; complying with that provider's terms; and understanding that we have no control over how they process your data. We are not responsible for any breach, loss, or unauthorised access arising from your use of third-party AI providers.
5.3 Your Responsibility for Shared Data
You are solely responsible for data you choose to share with the AI Advisor. Do not enter confidential, sensitive personal, or commercially sensitive information.
5.4 Apple Intelligence Provider
The Apple Intelligence on-device option processes data entirely on your device with no external transmission. Requires A17 Pro/M1 hardware, iOS 18.1+, and Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings.
6. Network Scanning and Legal Use
Only use network scanning features on networks and systems you own or have explicit written authorisation to test. Unauthorised scanning may be a criminal offence.
6.1 Authorised Use Only
Network tools (LAN scan, port scan, device discovery, traceroute) must only be used on networks you own or are explicitly authorised to test. Unauthorised scanning may violate the Computer Misuse Act 1990 (UK), the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (US), or equivalent laws in your jurisdiction.
6.2 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws and third-party rights. We have no liability for consequences arising from use of network tools on unauthorised systems.
7. WiFi Heatmapping and Floor Plans
7.1 Your Data
Floor plans, signal measurements, heatmap data, and exported reports you create are your data. We claim no ownership over it. It is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers.
7.2 Accuracy
Heatmap and signal measurements are for informational and planning purposes only. Results may vary due to device positioning, environmental factors, interference, and iOS limitations. Do not rely solely on heatmap data for professional network infrastructure decisions without independent verification.
7.3 Exports
PDF, PNG, and SVG exports are generated on-device. We do not warrant that exports will be accepted by any third party or comply with any particular technical or regulatory standard.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Intellectual Property
The App, including its name, logo, design, user interface, code, and all related materials, is the intellectual property of Richard Clark / Wi-Fi-Go, protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. These Terms grant no intellectual property rights except the limited licence in clause 2.
8.2 Feedback
If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that feedback for any purpose without restriction or compensation.
9. Disclaimers and No Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components.
- We do not warrant the accuracy or reliability of diagnostic data, heatmap results, speed tests, or AI Advisor output.
- Network features depend on iOS system APIs and network conditions outside our control.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 9(e):
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill.
- Our total aggregate liability for all claims shall not exceed the greater of: (i) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim; or (ii) £10 (ten pounds sterling).
- We are not liable for loss arising from: reliance on AI Advisor output; scanning of unauthorised networks; device damage from network conditions; or inability to access the App due to connectivity issues.
11. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with or link to third-party services (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Apple App Store). We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.
12. Changes to the App
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time with or without notice. We shall not be liable for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation. We will endeavour to give reasonable notice of material changes.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the App.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately without notice if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your licence ceases immediately. Provisions that should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limitations) will do so.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer law in your jurisdiction entitles you to local proceedings.
EU consumers may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
16. Consumer Rights (UK and EU)
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law (Consumer Rights Act 2015) or equivalent EU consumer protection legislation.
17. Severability
If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it shall be severed, and remaining provisions continue in full force.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
